In addition to our core business of wagon hire, we provide fleet management services for external wagon fleets. We also have two wagon repair workshops in Germany and France and a wagon construction plant in Germany, completing our range of services. The workshops and plant provide essential expert input, boosting our innovative powers and technical expertise.

Along with the general increase in volumes of transport in our core market of Europe, another key driver of growth here is private haulage. This is increasing steadily as a result of the liberalization of the European rail freight traffic market, particularly in eastern and southeastern Europe. VTG is exploiting this potential through organic growth and targeted acquisitions as well as expansion of the fleet in strong growth segms for wagon hire.
